The Key Theater survived going from silent to sound but not to the widescreen era in its run of nearly thirty years from 1922 to early 1951. And the theater wasn’t afraid to take on an exploitation film, either, as can be seen in this ad. (One might guess that there were more than a few kids looking to raise ten cents to see if they really could get into this film.)
