Falling on a Tuesday that year, the May 30th holiday was being observed by parades and other public events throughout the five boroughs, and not expected to boost movie attendance.
By this time, the New Roxy was presenting single features only (sans stage shows), either new or “move-overs” from the Music Hall or other theatres.
