Always a subrun double feature house, the State had its biggest run with the Gene Tunney v. Jack Dempsey fight in 1927 (upper right). The theater also went exploitation on occasion (left). Ad “Now open” followed a ceiling collapse and interior remodel in 1947 (far right) and its last ads in 1950 carried no feature titles.
