Southern California’s motion picture elite turned out in full force to see the West Coast premiere engagement of “War and Peace.” The Reade Organization commissioned special lobby standees and marquee art to commemmorate the run. Full-color souvenir programs were sold and ushers and concession staff were required to wear colorful Russian tunics while on duty.
