View of the rear of the auditorium taken from the stage area. Rear wall of balcony nicely decorated. There was some plaster damage in that area.

If you look carefully at the top of the photo, second ceiling rosette from the right you will notice that it doesn’t quite match. That’s because when air conditioning was installed certain rosettes were removed and dropped down for the ventilation. I grew up in N. Babylon in the 50’s and 60’s and went to this theater many, many times.My mother was born and raised in Bay Shore. We used to park behind the church in their lot and go through the the 3 foot opening in the green chain link fence with the hedge to the sidewalk.
This is personal to me because I am a Long Islander,and this was"THE"Long Island theater!
