The State Theatre opened in 1925 and seated 500 patrons. It had a Gottfried pipe organ of 2 manuals and an unknown number of ranks. It also possessed a full stage house for vaudeville acts. The auditorium was remodeled sometime in the thirties probably after the advent of sound. It was torn down in the early sixties a few years after its sister theatre the Ohio. A picture of the remodeled auditorium is shown on page 74 in the book “Conneaut” by David B. Owens.
