In 1969 the rock band I was in called, “Sin” played a battle of the bands there. There was 6 bands in the competition and the master of ceremonies was WCFL’s Jerry Kay, I am proud to say that Sin took first place. The interior of the theater was beautiful with many crystal chandeliers.
