The parking lot of the Alexandria Theatre in San Francisco has new condos the last few years. They bought the theatre property just to put in way expensive condos in the back parking lot. No more backstage exit to the cinema, the new condos were built up to the very back stage wall of the movie theatre. They could care less about the movie theatre part of the purchase. The former 70mm cinema is prime for a complete remodel for another entertainment venture not a swim pool like they said they wanted to do that never took place.
