Look for the name A J Milton Bean. He was the proprietor of The Maple Leaf Theatre. I found his name and occupation, so I knew a theatre had to be close by. Toronto Directory of 1921. He lived at 97 Lambton Ave. There was another maple Leaf Theatre on Queen St. But who in 1920 would do all that travel in those days? The Radial Line on Weston Rd then the Dundas Street Car to Yonge St. A real trip in those days. So he had to have a place to work close by.

Janet Millward Godber gave me the research knowledge that led to the rediscovery of its name, The Maple Leaf Theatre, 1006 Weston Rd, Mt Dennis. (The old numbering system).
I also discovered that before being theatre owner / operator?, A J Milton Bean worked in Real Estate.
