A dependable drive-in for Blaxploitation films of the 1970s was the King Drive-In run by McLendon Theater Circuit. Opening in the former Cinderella Drive-In, the King launched July 29, 1970 with Jim Brown’s “The Grasshopper” and the second feature was Jim Brown’s “100 Rifles.”
