The 1.23 ton chandelier is brought down to ground level only once a year for it's annual cleaning and polishing. Each of it's 33,000 crystals on the chandelier, which measures 12 feet in diameter and 16 feet in height, are cleaned and polished by hand over a two day period by about 10 volunteers.
