This photo taken between 2000-2010 shows the former Majestic Theatre site. The Metropolis Music building is to the far left in the B&W 1942 photo. The former Cafe building, is the one with the white brick facade in the newer photo. The former Majestic Theatre front portion/building and First National Bank corner building have been replaced by the Anco building. Though it appears that there is still a portion of an older building visible at the top of the old Majestic Theatre’s space. Photo credit Carol M. Highsmith via the George F. That’s not part of an older building, it’s a little penthouse on the roof, probably a mechanical room.
