3-D Comes to the Fox

This July 1953 ad from the Richmond Independent shows “Sangaree” in dual projector Polaroid 3-D playing at the Fox. I believe this was the Fox’s first 3-D presentation and my introduction to 3-D too. I still remember ducking when that knife came flying out of the screen!

Thanks John for finding this great listing. 3-D was better then in the 50’s with 2 projectors going, much more things coming off the screen. The new digital 1 projector is a joke.
