Played mostly move-overs from the larger Warner's Branford, located immediately adjacent to the RKO Proctor's, and only dir really good business when Proctor's was sold out. Closed in the mid-Fifties and became one of the first John's Bargain Stores.

A Wurlitzer organ, opus 1121, was installed in this theater on 8/5/1925.

The Capitol Theatre with 1129 seats opened New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 1925. It was destroyed by fire June 15, 1984.
