While serving as a U.S. Senator from Delaware and campaigning in 2007 for the presidential nomination, Joe Biden (born 1942) authored a book 'Promises to Keep' (2007). In the book, he wrote that when growing up in Scranton, he and his friends 'would head down to the Roosie Theatre for the 12-cent double feature-usually a pair of westerns or Tarzan'.

The Roosevelt Theatre opened circa-1930 and closed circa-1975. It was turned into retail stores.

This was strictly an X-rated theater in the 1970s.
