The Aikahi opened in 1975 as a single screen theatre by Consolidated Theatres. Located in Kailua at the base of Diamond Head, it was twinned in 1985. The theater closed suddenly in August 2007.

This theater 'quietly' closed down either on the 30th, or on 23rd of August 2007.
