The Gaylynn Theater was demolished and replaced by this theater.

Lost Memory, I found a July 1983 listing for Cineplex theatres that shows "Sharpson Center" opening in February 1983 with 12 cinemas with 1,688 seats, which would make this their 2nd US location (The first was Beverly Center in L. A.. Did it open at this time.
