The roadside sign of this drive-in was featured in the movie "Grindhouse", in the second feature titled 'Death Proof'. The sign was large and rounded and had a couple colors including yellow and one of the cars drove straight through the sign and destroyed it. I could make out "Star-Lite".

The movie was filmed in and around Houston and the closest Star-Lite was in Porter, northeast of Houston on a desolate road near the interstate.

Opened in 2006. Drive-ins.com calls it Litestar with the same address. It was apparently changed to Litestar in 2006, so it could have been Star-Lite while they were still filming.
