Opened in 1991, this theater lured moviegoers near the airport with urban fare. Two years later, Loews opened its own theater and is the only one operating in Newark, NJ due to competition from the larger Jersey Gardens megaplex in neighboring Elizabeth, which opened seven years after the Loews opened.

There are reviews on Yahoo for this theater from April 2007. Is it closed and demolished?

The theatre is closed, but not demolished. As you drive by Newark airport the theatre building is still clearly visible from the Turnpike.

I drive by this theater nightly, the lights always turn on after dark, and the Marquee is now tagged with graffiti along with some of the doors on the building itself.

This now closed and rotting hulk, along with its sister companion, the also closed and rotting Amboys Multiplex in Sayreville, N.J. should be demolished. It is a haven for graffitti taggers.
