The Bard Theater opened around 1941. It was closed and demolished in 1998.

Cinematour gives F.T. Winnenberg as the architect for this theater. Anyone know if thats accurate? They also have some photos of the Bard Theater.

This source alleges that the Bard was razed in 1998. There is a Hollywood Video store at 2470 Bardstown Road as of today, which appears to be new construction.

Boxoffice of February 27, 1943, also lists F.T. Winnenberg as the architect of the Bard Theatre. There were photos. The style was Art Moderne.
