The Fort Theatre was opened in the south end of town to service Fort Thomas, a small military post that was just across River Road from it. Listed in the 1941 and 1943 editions of Film Daily Yearbook as the Fort Thomas Theatre (Closed).

It was closed long before I was born, and for a time in the 1970's the building was used as a small carryout where I went to find high number baseball card sets late in the year. I always found it odd that it had a sloped floor, but I never connected it with its past until discovering a vintage post card showing it as a movie house.

In 1935 the Fort Thomas Theater is listed as closed with 300 seats. No longer listed in 1945.
