The Strand opened in 1915 on Main Street, for the Phoenix Amusement Company. It was designed by the firm of Joseph & Joseph. The 1600-seat Strand was heavily remodeled in 1956 when it was equipped with Todd A-O projection. The Strand closed in 1974.

A Coburn theater organ size 2/9 was installed in the Strand Theater in 1915. Note: Purchased from Felgmaker- Felgmaker Opus #1215.
