Originally opened as a seven screen but has since been completely redone and expanded into an eleven screen. It now features all stadium seating with DTS Digital sound. High back rocker seats with assistive listening devices.

The theatre is done in a tropical motif with bright alluring colors. The entrance features a triangular-shaped marquee over the entrance and has a small vertical sign above the building. The exterior is done in in multiple colors with triangles and checks like resembling Art Deco. There are columns running down the front of the building in bright yellow to set off the multi color patterns between each.

The Galveston is a very attractive and well maintained theatre. The theatre is part of Premiere Theatres.
