Associated with the Wellfleet Cinemas, this seasonal drive-in theater (one of the last in New England) is always great fun for the whole family. We go there almost every summer.

Family fun. Do they still have the weekend tagsales at the entrance? They go back many years.

What a great theatre! I've been bike-backpacking in the cape for a few weeks. It's on Route 6 where inns dot the landscape and it's a few miles from one of the town's centers. They have found a niche and a way to stay in business all year round. They have one movie screen as well as a mini-golf course (that's very subpar, no pun intended), a restaurant, a bar that faces the golf course with ice cream, etc. The adjacent field serves as a weekly flea market, the largest of its kind in the area. The staff are awesome too.

According to today's Boston Herald entertainment section, the Wellfleet Drive-In was used as a venue for this year's Provincetown International Film Festival. The Festival's "Family Night" included screenings of "Serial Mom" (1994) and "War of the Roses" (1989), with Kathleen Turner and John Waters present, with umbrellas on a chilly and misty evening (Thurs. June 14th).
