According to this site -- http://eastlewiscountychamber.com/MossyG.htm -- the capacity is 271. First-run movies are shown Fridays through Mondays. The owner's name is Diana McLeod.

Oh, according to a May 22, 2006, story in The Chronicle newspaper of Centralia, Wash., the theater was built in the late 1930s. It has a balcony.

Schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Monday only. There are no shows on Sunday as this is a Mormon town. Yes, there is a tiny balcony. There is a cry room but it is converted to theater manager's office. Bathrooms are very tiny. Theater was built around 1936 and is equipped with Century "C" projector heads and RCA 1040 soundheads. Was lit with carbon arc lamphouses, but in 2002 converted to xenon (Strong Super Lume-x lamphouses).

The "G" in the theater's name is from the Ghosen family who built it and operated it until 1990 or so.

The theater has an old time western "Saloon-Hotel" facade.

THEATER FOR SALE $125,000

LoopNet has the property at 106 East State Street for sale but it doesn't state that it is a theater. It is listed as retail. Did the G Theater close?

Theater is open and operating. Three day a week operation.

Interesting. I wonder why it's being advertised as retail use and not as a theater.

I worked at this theater in the 70's for several years as a projectionist. The sound system was just awful! The projection equipment had numerous issues as well. It was fun to operate the carbon arch lamphouses though. We always kept the lights dimmed at the lowest possible setting as the place was so rundown. The curtain was not operational either. I remember we barely kept the place open, it was 'rarely' busy. This was before video too! I am sure this theater did nto have 350 seats! The 270 as quoted above is more accurate. If anyone has any questions regarding this theater please ask away. There is no cry room in this theater.

Theater has an Eprad Starscope audio processor now and Christie platter.

Not sure how they fit a platter in that booth??? I meant to add that there is a balcony, very small.

Booth is extremely crowded with that platter.
