Opened in 1926 as a single screen theatre with a balcony, the theatre at that time was called the Blaine. The architectural firm was the Boller Brothers.

Due to instability the decorative plaster work on the interior was removed in the 1950's along with the stage house and rigging.

The balcony was later converted to a second screen and the theatre at that time was renamed the Cine 2 Theatre. It closed in 2001.

A Robert-Morton theater organ size 2/4 was installed in the Blaine Theater in 1926.
