Here is another theater photo that I found. This one is the Palace Theater in Greenfield, TN. The photo claims to be from 1955 but the movie playing, "Sentimental Journey" is dated at 1946 by Imdb. Click the link below for a photo of the Palace Theater.

According to a history of Greenfield, the Palace Theater was operated by Ruffin Amusements from 1937 until 1963. It appears there was an earlier Palace Theater that showed silent movies from 1918 until 1930, but I am not sure whether or not it was in the same building.

From the May 8, 1937, issue of Boxoffice: "GREENFIELD, TENN.-- The Ruffin Amusement Company of Covington, Tenn. has leased the W.L. Hall building here for a modern theatre."

A June 29, 1957, Boxoffice item about the 30th anniversary of the Ruffin Chain also says that the Palace opened in 1937. I can't find anything about the earlier Palace Theatre.

I believe the address for the Palace Theatre was 113 East Front St.

I haven't found any information for an earlier Palace Theater but the 1935 Film Daily Yearbook lists a Strand Theater for Greenfield, TN. It is the only theater listed that year. By 1940 only the Palace Theater is listed.
