The first reference I have found for the Lyric Theatre is in the the 1927 edition of Film Daily Yearbook which lists it, but gives no seating capacity (usually this means it has just opened and no details have been passed on the F.D.Y.).

In the 1930 edition of F.D.Y. it has a seating capacity given as 350. By 1941 it has disappeared from listings.

The small single storey building still stands and is currently in use as a retail/wholesale store known as Island Electronics.

island electronics is apparently kaput . wonder why the theatre didn't last long , that was unusual back then...

The street name should be Tompkins Avenue with a "p". The building is listed as a restaurant in June of 1940.

I believe 523 Tompkins Avenue now maps as Hylan Boulevard.

Tompkins Avenue is not the same as Hylan Boulevard. Tompkins Avenue crosses Hylan Boulevard, but its not the same street.
