Built in around 1900 as the Waldstein Hall, a small concert hall seating 400 which was designed by local architect Ernest Pratt.

In January 1913 it was converted into the Park Cinema (so named after the nearby West Ham Park) and was operated by the Lion Cinematograph Company from 1914 with a seating capacity listed as 500. It was closed for a while during the war, but had re-opened again by 1918.

By 1921 it was known as the Park Picture Theatre and was operated by a Mr. H.B.L. Jarvis. It closed in 1929 and was then used as a meeting hall for the Sea Cadets for many years. In recent years it has been converted into a day care centre and childrens nursery called Smarty Pants Day Nursery.

In my opinion, the 500 seating capacity must have been on long benches to cram in as many as possible.
It was certainly a tiny cinema building, as seen in this April 2006 exterior view of the former Park Picture Theatre:
