This little theater is one of the best kept secrets in Honolulu, but is known to virtually all real film buffs. It is hidden away in a corner of a public parking lot surrounded by small restaurants. It shows old movies, recent movies, foreign films etc.

A schedule is promulgated by email every month to about 3,000 members. Although there aren't many seats, 18 of them are Barcaloungers, so one watches in comfort. Five additional directors chairs can be set up when the first eight seats are sold. The owner is a walking encyclopedia about films, directors, actors, etc.

The little theater also has an incredible selection of videos and DVD's usually not available at other rental places.

According to this article, the Movie Museum opened in 1989.
