I'm pretty sure this opened around Christmas time 1992. Originally was an 8plex and then expanded to 14 screens in the summer of 1996, causing the Freehold Cinema 6 to become 2nd run. Before it expanded to 14 screens, the Metroplex would split up 1st run films with the Cinema 6 with the Metroplex getting the guaranteed hits. The two original bigger auditoriums in here(prior to the expansion) were THX certified.

Does anyone know the seat count for the AMC Loews (former Sony) Freehold 14 Theatre?
