MESA, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 1999--
AMC Theatres will host a charity gala to benefit the Arthritis Foundation on Wednesday, Dec. 15, in conjunction with the grand opening of a 24-screen megaplex theatre in Mesa.
The AMC Mesa Grand 24, scheduled to open Dec. 17 at the southeast corner of Superstition Freeway and Stapley Drive, will be the latest innovative example of the megaplex concept developed by AMC.
"We are delighted to help with the important work of the Arthritis Foundation through the grand opening of the AMC Mesa Grand 24," said Philip M. Singleton, president and chief operating officer of American Multi-Cinema, Inc.
Doors will open for the benefit gala at 6 p.m. Dec. 17, at the AMC Mesa Grand 24. Guests will enjoy:
Appearances by local dignitaries; - All-you-can-eat treats from the concession stand; and, - Screenings of first-run movies, showcasing AMC's state-of-the-art sight and sound presentation".
