This theater is no more, technically. Cinema North closed this location at the end of July 2006. This was probably earlier than intended, but all tenants of the plaza it was in were evicted on August 1. Cinema North opened the new North Adams Cinema 8 at the end of January/begining of February 2007 at the new “Steeple City Plaza” in the center of North Adams. So this theater is no more. I suppose a new entry should be made for the “North Adams Cinema 8”?
This entry needs to have it’s status changed to “closed”, see above post, and North Adams Movieplex 8 entry(pending approval!)
Closed in late-July 2006.

Presumably south of town, where most of this roadside blight is located. Can anyone provide an address and status?
Found it Seth! It was located on 1609 Curran Hwy, North Adams, MA 01247, which the theater alongside the entirety of North Adams Plaza was demolished in 2010. Both the theater and the plaza were also located across the street from the Hoosac Drive-In, which closed after the 1992 season. However, the parking lot of the long dead plaza survives and is still active as of today.
Hoyts operated the North Adams Cinema during its later years, but closed on July 30, 2006.
Once operated by Hoyts.
Thanks!
Anytime!
