Opened as the Picture House with Shirley MacLaine in "Shy People" on 19th March 1993. Seating was provided for 200 in the auditorium which is part of the Willesden Green Library building. When first opened it was operated by City Screen Ltd who leased the space from Brent Council.

In 1996 it was taken over by Belle-Vue Cinemas Ltd. who operated a couple of other cinemas in the London area, specialising in 'Bollywood' films. The programming policy at this Belle-Vue Cinema is a mix of current releases, childrens programmes and Indian 'Bollywood' films.
