The 6-screen Cannon cinema opened on 8th December 1990. It was a project of Cineplex Odeon. It was re-named MGM in 1991 and then in 1995 was re-named the Virgin. In 1999 it was re-named UGC and in 2005 it became the Cineworld.

Seating capacities in the screens range from 366, down to 210.
