Originally opened in 1925 to replace an earlier Astoria Theatre that burned down in 1922, the Astoria Theatre later was renamed the Viking Theatre. Later, after it closed as a movie theater, the building became home to the Viking Roller Rink. Today, the former theater building houses a bank.

According to this link (#17 on that page) the Astoria Theater was located at 1218 Commercial Street. The building is now a bank.
