- May 27, 2009 — Kingsway 4 breathes new life
The single screen Kingsway Cinema was opened in 1973. It was closed for expansion on January 24, 1980 and reopened as twin on June 11, 1980. It reopened as the 4-screen theatre by Consolidated Theatres on June 19, 1981. It was located in the Kingsway Plaza Shopping Center. Taken over by Carmike Cinemas and renamed Carmike Cinema 4, they closed it in 2008.
It re-opened under independent operators as the Kingsway Cinema on May 29, 2009. It was closed in May 2022.

Grand Opening June 19, 1981, owned by Consolidated Theaters.
It opened as a single screen in 1973. It became a twin on June 11, 1980 and a 4 screen theatre on June 19, 1981.
I made a mistake it was never closed in January 1980, it was just expanded to twin and 4 screen cinema.
