Listed as operating in the 1960's, it has been described as a huge cinema, and one of the finest cinemas in the Middle East.

Closed in the late-1990's due to hostilities, the Al Khayam Cinema was re-opened in 2008. It now screens 3 or 4 different movies, twice a day. The films are mainly American, from the 1980's.
