The theatre is located behind the South Hill Plaza Shopping Center off Interstate 85 at U.S. 58. Owned and operated by Carmike Cinemas. It was the only theatre operating in the town. The theater closed in August of 2020.

The theatre was originaly built and operated by N.T.“Tinker” Lyle then later operated by Neighborhood Theatres of Richmond, Va.
