The Sunflower Theater opened in March 1920. It operated into the 1950’s when it became a victim of television.

After a period of closure, it was converted into the Peabody Lanes bowling alley in the 1960’s and remains in that use today.

The Sunflower Theatre was located on N. Walnut Street and it seated 650 people.
