Cine Eden Park is located in a small town called Mindelo, in Cape Verde, in West Africa.

It was built between the 1930's and 60's, with a very interesting facade, with colonial and arabic architectural traces. The inside of it is very much like the classical theaters, with a large number of red seats, balcony and two galleries with seats for the owners' family members.

It was built by Mr. Cesar Marques da Silva, a Capeverdian man, and it's still run by the Marques da Silva family. It's the only classic movie theather in town, functioning like the old days.

The classic American movies had great influence in the life of this town, Mindelo, as well as in the peoples' lives. It's a very well respected building, considered an important factor in the personal and cultural shaping up of the Capeverdians.

Mr. Cesar Marques da Silva's dream of building a movie theater started back in 1922, when he decided to put together some small benches in a big lot, and played silent movies.

Cine Eden Park entertains Capeverdians everyday with the latest American movies, as well as some European and even African movies.

Do they show Brazilian films? The language of Cape Verde is Portuguese.
