The New Franklin Theatre was an early silent cinema, dating from around 1914. It became an adult movie theatre in the 1970's.

The original Franklin was located at 1307 E. Franklin Ave. The aobve Franklin Theatre opened in 1914 and closed as a movie theatre in 1980. Went through many operators over the years, Franklin Amusement, Associated Amusement Co. and Frank & Woempner amusement Co. Seating was listed at 860.
