Operating prior to 1941, and thru to at least 1952, the Nadeau Theatre was one of those neighborhood theatres that lined the many streets of Los Angeles.

Just an empty lot now. No trace of the theater.

Way back about 65 years ago, the neighbor kids would take me there, Had a small marquee only 2 lines, with couple of lights on the side. Saw The Eastside Kids movie there. Iremember it was never crowed. Probley cost 9 cents to get in

The Nadeau Theatre, 1917 Nadeau Street, was listed in the moving picture theatres section of the 1926 city directory. As it is not listed in the 1925 directory (the address wasn’t even in use that year) it is probably safe to assume that it opened sometime in 1925, possibly in a newly-constructed building.
