The Bismark Theatre was located to the west from the Lynch Street Police Station. It was a two story building but very narrow. There was no balcony. It was located in a heavily populated area of row houses on the near south side.

It was one of numerous neighborhood theatres in the area. The theatre opened by 1912 and was closed by 1930. It is now used for a storage building.

I need to make a correction to my entry. The Bismark was located several blocks to the west of the Lynch Street Police Station.

The building is still there and looks just like the photos in the links.

Appeared in the 1912 City Directory as the Bismarck.
Appeared in the 1914, 1915 and 1916 Directories as the Lynch.

In 1930, the structure appeared in the City Directory as a bowling alley.

JAlex, in later years did it remain a bowling alley or did it return to a motion picture theatre?
