The theatre opened in the 1940's as the Lane Theatre and later it was renamed the Abby Lane. It operated as a movie theatre for about 20 years. The building itself was typical of the 1940's with the squared off front on the building. After closing in the 1960's it became a goodwill store for some years and then later became a matttress retail store.

The Theatre bilding is still there and it is still a Discount Furniture Store.

Chuck....Should the address be West Dundalk Avenue or North Dundalk Avenue?
