The Regal Ronkonkoma was the first stadium seating multiplex in the area. It was actually quite state-of-the-art when built, when stadium seating was still a novelty.

Although now seems a bit older compared to the new wave of deluxe cinema multiplexes recently opening, it is still a nice place to see a movie.

It was converted very early on from Hoyts Cinemas to Regal Cinemas.

This theater was always a madhouse when it first opened. I guess now that the novelty has worn of about stadium seating (now that other multiplexes have it now too), it is not quite the madhouse anymore, although is still a nice theater. You used to have to come really early, otherwise the movie you wanted to see would be sold out, or you would get stuck in the first row if it wasn't.

Nice theater but very cold in design.

It is a clean design and similar to the UA Farmingdale and UA Westbury, the other Regal Mega-plexes on the island.

This is a pretty nice place to see a movie. Espcially now that Island 16 has opened, it's not such a madhouse there. And 9 seems like a nice number of screens. Keeps the crowds reasonable.

I agree. While I like the Island 16 better (it's more state of the art), the Ronkonkoma is less of a hassle, and quite comfortable. Like I said above, the Ronkonkoma was quite state of the art itself when it first opened. It was the first stadium theater i was in to that point.

Here's a satelite image of the Regal. It must have been taken early in the morning as the lot is empty!
