Airport Drive-In

Viewing: Photo | Street View

One of the highest grossing drive-ins in the Philadephia area. This was a very large theatre. It ran triple features (first run for drive-ins). Had a giant free playground for the kids. Playgrounds were money makers. The BEST playground was at the Bucks County Drive-In. Both theatres were operated by Budco.

I remember another Airport Drive-In in Allentown in the fifties.

Here is a 1958 photo. This drive-in was gone by 1970, which makes sense as I never saw any trace of it when I was a child in the early and mid 1970s.
