Originally known as the single-screen Palace, the theater, later renamed the Camelot, was twinned at some during its life, converting the theater’s balcony into a second screen. The theater’s main auditorium contained stadium-style seating.
The Camelot was closed by Greater Huntington Theatres at the beginning of January, 2006. The building is now home to the Jeslyn Performing Arts Center.

The Camelot is no longer a movie theater. It is now Jeslyn Performing Art Center. www.jeslyn.org It is a wonderful addition to our downtown. The new owners are slowing refurbishing it. If anyone has pictures of the original Palace Theater they would love to see them.
This is a November 2007 story about this theater.
The Jeslyn Performing Arts Center/Camelot can be seen in this recent photo.
There is a 1930’s Palace theater cloth movie banner that lists the Spring movies for sale on EBay. It was posted earlier in the week.

Jeslyn recently renovated the former movie theater. The marquee has been removed. It’s still open, however.
