Built in 1913, the Marshall County Community Theatre opened as a silent movie theater called the Dixie Theater. Renovated several times over the years, the 600 seat capacity Dixie Theater closed as a movie theater in 1985.
In 1994 the Dixie Theater was purchased by the Marshall County Community Theatre. The theater is now used for live performances and concerts but the theater is also available for other purposes such as talent shows, theatrical workshops, school programs, etc.
