Colonial Twin Drive-In

The Colonial Twin Drive-In opened on April 27, 1950 as the Colonial Drive-In. A second screen was added and it became the Colonial Twin on September 13, 1973. This drive-in had a capacity for 935 cars. The Colonial Twin Drive-In closed around 1983.

This drive-in must have started in Madison, because I remember going there in the early 60’s. It was at the corner of Old hickory blvd and Gallatin pike where the walmart market now stands long before the Old hickory cinemas at the same site.
